Hand woven Wall Hangings

HELLO & WELCOME!

I’m Nari Alves, a fibre artist living in Wellington, New Zealand. My passion is creating beautiful contemporary woven art using a frame loom.

My works feature texture and colour, from serene muted palettes, to more bold intense statement pieces. I weave each design by hand using mainly natural fibres, I particularly like working with chunky wool roving which adds so much texture and warmth.

I love collaborating with clients to create unique and personalised pieces. With a commissioned piece I can work with you to create an original piece of art that will reflect your taste and style!

I stock a small number of wall hangings at selected Wellington spots- Mitchell Studios in Khandallah, Le Marche Francais Bistro and Deli in Thorndon, and Dushea’s Deli in Khandallah.
